Our Goal

Naïade

Sponsor in the spotlight

Impala Foundation wants to provide safe drinking water for schools in Rwanda through servicing existing Naiade water purification units in Rwanda at the lowest cost possible and by raising funds to make more Naiades available.

Impala Foundation

Impala Foundation (Stichting Impala Foundation) is based in The Netherlands and founded in 2015 by Sita Humalda. Impala Foundation collaborates with the official importer of Naïade in Rwanda, a Dutch national, who has made a dedicated technician available to install and service Naïades in Rwanda. Impala Foundation maintains contact with the fundraisers in The Netherlands as well as with the contacts in Rwanda.

Quota International & Soroptimistclub

Quota International Zeist e.o. and Soroptimistclub Zeist have joined forces and adopted the Naïade project and have been the main fundraisers during 2015 - 2017.

Read "Until 2017" to find out which activities were organised to raise funds.

Naïade is a stand alone solar based water purification unit: SMART, SAFE and SIMPLE

Naïade is produced by Nedap in the Netherlands and uses 2 filterbags and UV-light to threat the water.

Thanks to all our donors and sponsors we are able to realise our goals and provide healthy drinking water to more and more children in Rwanda. Donations from large and small foundations (many prefer to remain anonymous), business relations, friends and family and through dedicated fundraising activities support Impala Foundation to increase the number of Naiades in Rwanda!

Special

Living for many years in Africa have blessed me with some very special friendships. Even now, after more than 30 years, there is this special bond because we experienced so many things together in civil war strikken Mozambique. Water played an important role whether it was the drainage system in Maputo, Cahora Bassa or dredging in the port of Beira and Maputo; Dutch engineers were involved. Massaro Interim & Advies in the Netherlands is owned by one of those engineers and specialises in infrastructural projects. Our friend Ton Massaro is a firm believer that good quality water management is not self-evident and combined with his affinity for Africa has been very generous supporting Impala Foundation. Water is very often part of infrastructural projects and Massaro has also offered his expertise through technical support in respect of water related questions if necessary. Please check the website for more information here and on the project hereA very BIG thank you!
